Video Tapes
(VHS, S-VHS, VHS-C, Video 8, Hi 8, Digital 8 and Mini DV)
Using quality equipment, the video is converted to a digital format and copied directly to a Video Editing Computer in a high quality Digital Video format. We will always enhance the video with basic editing as part of the service.
(Standard 8 and Super 8 with or without sound)
Cine Film
We specialise in Standard and Super 8 Cine Film - these films are normally
found on 3”, 5” and 7” reels. The film width is always 8mm (hence the name).
Film with sound can be recognised by a very thin brown line along the edge of
the film.
Using a dedicated 8mm (Standard / Super 8) Cine Film Copier, our process takes
a frame by frame digital image from the whole cine reel. These images are then
converted into a High Definition video format and copied to a Video Editing
Computer. If there are issues with colour etc, these will be addressed as much
as possible. For silent cine film, we can add some background music of your
choice.
This process avoids a lot of the flicker, focus and banding issues that some
other methods of copying Cine Film suffer from.
Finishing Touches
We then follow your instructions as to whether you want:

a ‘presentation’ DVD or Blu-ray disc. This includes a
custom created DVD case and a photo printed face on the disc
(made from images taken from your video and/or any photo you
provide).

or just a simple direct copy on disc. This would be a disc with no
printing on its face.

or USB memory stick.
